So, at the end of the last part, we said that the entire war was at a stalemate. Another country also joined the war against the allies: the Ottoman Empire. They mostly attacked Russia because it was close to them, and Russia was super weak right now. They also attacked the British Suez Canal, but that failed.
Then the allies attacked the Ottoman Empire, but that failed. Before the war, the countries made some rules for this war, like no chemical weapons, no killing civilians, and Germany being Germany broke these rules by BOMBING CIVILIAN CITIES, USING CHEMICALS AND SINKING CIVILIAN SHIPS.
You might be asking yourself: What about Serbia? Well, Austria-Hungary still hadn’t dealt with them, but Bulgaria came to ruin Serbia’s day by joining Austria-Hungary and demolishing Serbia. You might be expecting something interesting, but all I can say is that Portugal also joined the allies. So, now comes something interesting: Russia started losing a lot of land and then gained a lot of land.
Romania saw Russia’s success, so they joined Russia to lose a lot of land. The Ottoman Empire also started losing to Russia, and it didn’t help that Britain started taking some land, too. Here is the time to tell you a pretty bad thing: Russia had run out of supplies, and the Russian revolution started, which pulled Russia out of the war, and they also lost a lot more territory.
Germany had just gotten a great position. Except, there was a big problem: America was probably going to join the war, and that would mean the end for Germany. They were already helping the allies with supplies as well, which meant a lot of money for America. So, Germany being Germany, sent a message to Mexico, saying: “Attack America!”, but the British intercepted it and showed it to America. That was it. America began to send troops.
Germany’s final hope was to win before the Americans arrived. They used all their supplies and started an attack. They were gaining territory, but too little, too late. The Americans arrived, and it was over. Bulgaria lost first, then the Ottoman Empire, Austria-Hungary, and then finally Germany. If this was bad, I’m sorry, it’s like 1 AM on Friday, so I’m going to go hit the sack now.
